Faith, The Dog

Faith

This dog was born on Christmas Eve in the year 2002. He was born with two legs. He, of course, could not walk when he was born. Even his mother did not want him. His first owner did not think he could survive and was thinking of ‘putting him to sleep.’

His present owner Jude Stringfellow, in the beginning put Faith on a surfboard to let him feel the movement. Later, she used peanut butter on a spoon as a lure and reward for him for standing up and jumping around.

Now, Faith has becomes famous on the international scene and has appeared in newspapers and on Television shows. There is a book titled ‘With a Little Faith’ being published about him. What you may not realize is that Faith was given an Honorary Commission as an E5 SGT in the U.S. Army in June 2006. She was commissioned out of Ft. Lewis near Seattle, WA. There were many many soldiers and civilians in attendance who cheered her on as she accepted her Commission. She gives a lot of love and encouragement to the men and women of the Armed Forces.

Jude Stringfellow has given up her teaching post and plans to take Faith around the world to preach that even without a perfect body, one can have a ‘perfect soul.’

What is the moral behind the story?  “In life there are always undesirable things, so in order to feel better you just need to look at life from another angle. Nothing is Impossible”. Hopefully, this story will bring fresh, new ways of thinking to everyone and that everyone will appreciate and be thankful for each beautiful day. Faith is the continual demonstration of the strength and wonder of life, and  Is it not amazing what a little love with a little Faith can do…………
