Very often, people remember the stories and jokes even after the message of a speech are forgotten.
As children we learn about good values from fairy tales that remain in our minds long after we have passed childhood. Adults also learn better through stories that encapsulate the main principles and drive home the point.

This story comes from the heart of a child who willingly decided to share his experience – some are good, while may be bitter, but are indeed “crystals” in their own rights. And yet, could be used for reflection and inspiration for others.

So the next time something seemingly “ordinary” happens in your life, look a little deeper and closer, these pebbles may turn out to be crystals after all.

Essentially, filial piety is one of the “right relationships” for which Confucius advocated. The definition includes the responsibility of each person to respect their parents, obey them, take care of them as they age, advise parents, to perform the duties of one’s job well so as to obtain the material means to support parents, and of course to love them. Loving one’s parents and offering them respect is the spring from which other forms of filial piety flows. A relationship with parents must be centered on love and respect.

This story is a reflection of everyone.

Everyone has an apple tree in his life and the tree is like our parents. When we were young, we loved to play with our Mum and Dad… When we grow up, we leave them…only come back to them when we need something or when we are in trouble. No matter what, parents will always be there and give everything they could just to make you happy. You may think the boy is cruel to the tree, but that is how all of us treat our parents. We take them for granted and we do not appreciate all they had done for us.

We owe a lot to our parents who have given us their time, care and love through the years. Filial piety and gratitude are noble and great spiritual virtues to cultivate. We must show our gratitude to our parents. Do not hesitate and Do not wait until it is too late.
