I have not seen a brand that gets the compliments and rave reviews that Crocs shoes received. Not forgetting, there are many rubber clogs that resembled Crocs, but are actually an imitation brand. With slip-resistant soles, Crocs shoes were originally designed for boaters and fishermen to wear on slippery decks. Today, chefs, health care workers, custodians, and anyone who is on their feet a lot is enjoying the benefits of these shoes. To be objective, it is not just Crocs that pose a danger — any soft, pliable shoe, as can long and untied shoe laces, even flip-flops, can be dangerous on an escalator.  The best way for parents to safeguard their children on escalators is to recognize and to minimize the entrapment dangers.

The photograph of Lady Liberty formed by 18,000 posed soldiers was taken in July 1918 at Camp Dodge, in Iowa, by photographers Arthur S. Mole & John D. Thomas. It was intended to help promote the sale of WW1 war bonds unfortunately, it was never used. In fact, during WW1 years Mole and Thomas had created incredible human images using thousands of soldiers or sailors dressed in woolen uniform to create images.

According to information, the design for the living picture was laid out at the drill ground at Camp Dodge, situated in the beautiful valley of the Des Moines River. Thousands of yards of white tape were fastened to the ground and formed the outlines on which 18,000 officers and men marched to their respective positions.

The day on which the photograph was taken was extremely hot,  neared 105 degrees F and the heat was intensified by the mass formation of men, and apparently some men fainted. The dimensions of the platting for the picture seem surprising. The camera was placed on a high tower. From the position nearest the camera occupied by Colonel Newman and his staff, to the last man at the top of the torch as platted on the ground was 1,235 feet, approximately a quarter of a mile. However, the appended figures below will give sufficient idea of the distorted proportions of the actual measurements for this photograph.

Right thumb: 35 feet

Thickest part of body: 29 feet

Left hand length: 30 feet

Flame on Torch: 600 feet

Torch and flame combined: 980 feet

Number of men in flame of torch: 12,000

Number of men in torch: 2,800

Number of men in right arm: 1,200

Number of men in body, head and balance of figure only: 2,000

Total men: 18,000

Incredible as it may seem as there are twice the number of men in the flame of the torch as in the whole remaining design, while there are 8 times as many men in the arm, torch and flame as in all the rest of the figure. It is noted that the right thumb is five feet longer than the left hand, while the right arm, torch and flame is 8 times the length of the body.

Absolutely amazing performance. A French performer utilizes bicycle horns to create music during his performance, mainly familiar songs.  He wears  a  horns suit when performing  for the audience. Enjoy!

Creative Shoe Knots

Each time I buy a new sneaker, the most exciting moment is the shoe lacing methods. Not too tight but not too loose. Balancing the both left and right shoelace even length. If the bow keeps coming undone, then tie a double knot . Changing the Shoe Lacing Method dramatically changes looking of your shoes. And there are many interesting shoe lacing methods out there.

Personality Development

Personality is defined as the enduring personal characteristics of individuals.

An individual’s personality is an aggregate conglomeration of decisions we’ve made throughout our lives. There are inherent natural, genetic, and environmental factors that contribute to the development of our personality. According to process of socialization, “personality also colors our values, beliefs, and expectations…Hereditary factors that contribute to personality development do so as a result of interactions with the particular social environment in which people live.” Personality development in Sigmund Freud’s theory being formed through the interaction of id, ego and superego.

A commonly used explanation for personality development is the psychodynamic approach. The term psychodynamic describes any theory that emphasizes the constant change and development of the individual. Perhaps the best known of the psychodynamic theories is Freudian psychoanalysis.
